Biographical note:
Colin was educated at the
University of London and the
University of New South Wales,
graduating with a PhD in Applied Mathematics in 1968.
Then followed periods as a lecturer at
UNSW and researcher in the
Institute of Advance Studies,
ANU.
In 1986, the
University College was opened
as part of
UNSW in the
Australian Defence Force Academy.
Colin was appointed its
Professor of Mathematics.
His research interests include wave-guide theory, nonlinear optics
and the rôle of photo-receptor optics in vision.
