Parking Information
Macquarie University enforces
its parking regulations diligently, so please make sure that you
do not infringe.
The good news is that as the Monday,
Tuesday and Wednesday of the meeting coincide with Graduation
Days, so parking for these days is FREE.
The bad news is that this is not
the case for the Thursday and Friday of the meeting. For parking
between 06:00 and 20:00, a valid parking ticket must be purchased
and displayed on the front windscreen of the car, on the driver's
side. Colleagues from the University of New South Wales and the
University of Sydney may make use of the floating Macquarie University
parking passes that may be available from their own universities.
Otherwise, a parking fee is payable. Tickets may be purchased
from parking ticket machines. The cost is $3 for up to one hour,
$7 for up to three hours, and $10 for the whole day. Please note
that the machines do not accept notes, so you will need coins.
IMPORTANT:
Parking on campus on the Saturday and Sunday is NOT free.
Limited parking is available on
streets close to the University. However, parking at Macquarie
Shopping Centre is subject to time limit.
