of the Australian Mathematical Society for 2009.
Ross
Street was awarded the Chaire
de la Valle Poisson for 2011 by the ancient Catholic
University of Louvain, Belgium, and a conference was
organized in connection with the Chaire.
Dominic
Verity received the Macquarie University 2008 Vice Chancellor's Award for
Teaching Excellence.
Michael
Johnson chaired the AMAST (Algebraic Methodology and Software Technology)
conference held in Quebec City in June and lectured at the University of Milan
in April.
Stephen
Lack was appointed chair of the Scientific Committee for the major
international category theory conference CT2011 at UBC, Vancouver, Canada.
