About the Conference

The KOZWaves conference series provides a forum for contemporary research on wave science, promoting interdisciplinary collaborations between Australasian wave scientists and international researchers. It focusses on advancing mathematical, numerical and experimental techniques across the different branches of wave science including acoustics, elasticity, electromagnetics and water waves.


Previous conferences themes include multiple wave scattering, metamaterials, homogenization, effective medium theory, cloaking, trapping, Anderson localisation, optical imaging, gravitational waves, non-linear waves, extreme ocean waves, wave–ice interactions, wave energy converters.


Location

KOZWaves2026 will be held at UNSW Sydney, Kensington campus.
